ERROR: GigPress does not create artists, venues, gigs

    Hey there,

    I recently installed the Gig Press plugin (version 2.3.18) and when trying to create an artist, venue or gig etc. there is a notification displayed above the fields: “Something ain’t right – try again?” But there is no feedback from the plugin or WP what was going wrong and trying again is not working either.

    The exact steps: When trying to create e.g. an artist, I fill out the name and URL fields, press the button “Add artist” and the error notification appears. This happens with all other options as well (venue, gig etc.).

  • Hi, Heiko. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

    Please make sure your WordPress core is up-to-date and then deactivate all other plugins and switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and see if this error still happens.

    You might also want to enable?WP_DEBUG?and?WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue.
