I am having a serious issue. I installed the google recaptcha plugin and it applied something to my wpadmin login page and now I cannot get into my site i continue to get this error:

Error: Google reCAPTCHA verification failed. The response parameter is missing.

I did find this, but I can’t login to the site.
    How to disable this plugin?
Use standard WordPress Plugins page. In emergency case, rename plugin folder under /wp-content/plugins/ over FTP access.

I logged in to the file manager, but it does not appear in my plugin folder, what else can i do

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @autire,

I’m sorry, but you’ve wrong site key. You can repair it via database explorer – it’s not for beinner (table wp_options, option_name = sgr_site_key). Anyway rename plugin folder must works on 100% to deactivate this plugin. Maybe try to refresh folder list in FTP client. Path is really /wp-content/plugins/simple-google-recaptcha.

    I mean Adminer or phpMyAdmin…

    Hi Minor
it would have been great if you could catch and display the “wrong site key type” when the “response parameter” error happens. It would have saved me a trip to your user forum ??

A couple of other plugins do that, but otherwise they are inferior.

Oh, also, the labelling on the settings panel for the site key & secret could be more explicit, i.e. v2 recaptcha or v3 recaptcha key. Just to stop dummmies like me getting confused.

Even I am having this same issue.
I am trying to login to my wordpress panel but when I enter my login credentials and hit enter, I get “Error: Google reCAPTCHA verification failed. The response parameter is missing.” This is happening only in Chrome. I checked it on Interest Explorer and even in my android phone and the panel opens just fine.

    What can I do?

    Hi @bhaveen,

This topic was closed, open new one next time, please.

There could be a several reasons. If you open webmaster console, do you see notice “SGR_3/2 loaded!”? Any error in the console log? What’s your website url?

Renaming the plugin folder works like a charm!
