New installation on fresh hosting, site shows up fine, but all text menus in admin, and the above error in some widgets.

What am I not doing that I should?

Have you tried different browsers? Does the issue occur in other browsers as well? Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

Originally used Firefox, same thing happens first time I load admin into Chrome too. Funny thing is, the site showed fine in both browsers before I deleted then reinstalled WP. Now, I get a white screen on the site page, but the admin screen is still all text with the widget errors. Clearing cache makes no difference.

The other funny thing is that I have another site built with WP hosted with same company, and it works fine! The only difference is that I pay for the hosting on the other site, but this one is the free one that has ads at the top. Guess I should check to see if it also comes with Java blocked….

Ok, update! I set up the economy hosting, next step up from the free hosting, and now it works just fine!

I guess they disable javascript on the free hosting, most likely to keep us from disabling the ads at the top….
