Error in editing-pages

Hello. I am trying to customize my new theme, but I dont see the same editing-page as in the video tutorials, I’m watching. E.g. “Edit Layouts” or “Edit Pages” when operating in the Backend part of the website. I can only see a lot of code instead of boxes to click. I’m Danish and this is my first time bulding a website, but I hope I get the terms right, and that you understand my problem.
