    Hello!

When I open the group name settings tab in the menu, I get this error displayed on screen:

    Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: count(): Argument #1 ($var) must be of type Countable|array, bool given in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\bbp-private-groups\includes\settings.php:269 Stack trace: #0 C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wordpress\wp-includes\class-wp-hook.php(292): rpg_settings_page('') #1 C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wordpress\wp-includes\class-wp-hook.php(316): WP_Hook->apply_filters('', Array) #2 C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wordpress\wp-includes\plugin.php(484): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wordpress\wp-admin\admin.php(259): do_action('settings_page_b...') #4 C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wordpress\wp-admin\options-general.php(10): require_once('C:\\xampp\\htdocs...') #5 {main} thrown in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\bbp-private-groups\includes\settings.php on line 269

I am running PHP version 8.0.6 which could be the cause of the issue, so if you have any ideas or solutions, let me know!

    Thanks,
    Gamer

I hate that php gets increasingly intolerant – you’d have th0ught it should go the other way around ??

Yeah PHP is always a pain, since I just installed the plugin I am going to assume the answer would be zero to that question.

thanks, I’ve just released version 3.9.0 which should fix this, but would really appreciate your confirmation (or otherwise!)

So from what it looks like, the problem is solved. Thanks for your quick help and support!

Sorry for combining but did have a quick question as well, for the forum freshness, is there any way to display the last post the user is able to see? Currently it is the last post overall even if they can’t see it and for things like appeals, I can’t really reveal whos been asking to appeal a punishment to everyone.

interesting – so I presume you are using ‘topic permissions’ – yes ?

    Yeah I am

so for this forum what are the topic settings?

    Thread Starter mrgamerstudios

    (@mrgamerstudios)

Group1 User Create/Edit/view OWN Topics, create/edit Replies to those topics and view any Replies to those topics

    Group2 Staff
Create/Edit Topics and Replies (and view all topics/replies)

    Non-logged in users
No visibility or access to this forum

These are the permissions I currently have, and making the forum itself private or public still has the same effect, hope this helps!
