Error in latest Yoast Newsletter – Clarification needed

    In the newsletter just published on 6/26, the topic is Actionable tips to optimize your images for SEO. It talks about using all of the title tag, caption tag, and, alt tags. The blog article was published in 11/23/2020.
    However, the Blog – Yoast SEO 18.8: XML sitemap improvements dated 5/6/2022 seems to completely contradict that post.
    So what is the current trend to optimizing images for SEO going forward?

    There is no contradiction. We always advise that you add titles, captions and alt tags to images for proper optimization. You can also refer to Google’s images best practices here
