Error In media upload

  • when i upload a media file , I am getting this error message and media upload is not possible .

    Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/tmp/php9gXxHf) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/) in /home/websi142/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1998

    “banner.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
    The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/07.

  • Looks like you have a server configuration issue. Contact your hosts and send them a copy of the error message.
