  • This error shows for older versions of PHP. Older versions don’t support the : as used in that line. WooCommerce system requirements are for PHP version 7.4 or greater.

    Hi @instantenet,

To optimize your WooCommerce store’s performance and security, you should be running the minimum supported version of PHP. You’ll find more details here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/update-php-wordpress/#section-1. We’d also recommend the following hosting environment:

    • PHP version 7.4 or greater
    • MySQL version 5.6 or greater OR MariaDB version 10.1 or greater
    • WordPress memory limit of 256 MB or greater
    • HTTPS support
