Error in plug-in actovation

    I cannot activate Quick Paypal Payments 5.5.3 on www.ads-software.com (4.9.6), as I get the following error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in D:\Hosting\12442747\html\sm\wp-content\plugins\quick-paypal-payments\quick-paypal-payments.php on line 2436

    Could you please help me sort the issue?

  • This is normally fixed when you upgrade your hosting to PHP7.

    Older versions of PHP stipped being supported back in 2014 to you do really need to upgrade to the version recommended by WordPress

    Heard nothing back so assuming all went well.
