• Hello!
I have a strange error on the site. In the plugins section, there was such a message from FooGallery. It is located at the bottom and disappears only if you disable the plugin. If you click on the “View details” button, it opens not in a frame, but on a new page. I hope I was able to explain clearly. I don’t know why it suddenly happened. Maybe you can help. Thanks a lot.

    Hi @belyvolk

Sorry for the delayed response. Because of the language barrier, I had to find a way to translate the contents in the screenshots shared with us.

If my translation was correct, I believe that an email was sent to your admin inbox with more details of the error. Could you kindly confirm if you did get the email?

If you did, then kindly copy and paste the error details and any fixes that were sent to your inbox and send it to me when responding to this message. This will enable us to find out what is really causing the error you encountered after analyzing the error message/error logs.

Thanks in advance for doing so.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis

I’m sorry I didn’t think of a translation. Here is a screenshot with automatic translation into English:

Unfortunately, no emails have been received.

Noticed a strange feature. This message appears only when the Russian interface language is enabled. When I turned on English, the message disappeared.

This message does not affect the functionality of the plugin. Perhaps something with a Russian translation. Could it be?

    Hi @belyvolk

Thanks for sharing that other screenshot that’s been translated to English.

Unfortunately, the error message is so vague and general that it’s really difficult to know what the error is in the first place and what’s causing the error.

It’s also important to note that the error message and the FooGallery message are not related. From the screenshot, to find out what the error is, we’ll need to go through the more detailed error message that should’ve been emailed.

For now, because of the little information we have on this, the only advice I can give is for you to follow this troubleshooting guide of ours to try and help identify what is causing the error: https://fooplugins.com/documentation/general/general-troubleshooting/health-check-debug/

    Kind regards,
    Elvis

There was only one email. But I already decided it. The Lightbox with PhotoSwipe plugin has been disabled as it required a newer version of PHP after updating it. I updated PHP. And this problem is gone.

I followed your advice and installed the Health Check plugin. After enabling troubleshooting mode, the error message and the FooGallery message disappeared. And after disabling the troubleshooting mode, all the messages reappeared.

    Hi @belyvolk

Just to confirm what you mentioned, once you disable The Lightbox with PhotoSwipe plugin, the error message does go away, right? Thanks for the clarification.

    (@belyvolk)

No. After disabling The Lightbox with PhotoSwipe plugin, the error message is still there.
There is an error message only when the Russian language is enabled in the site interface. Also, the error message disappears when the troubleshooting mode is enabled. This is the only one I could find.

    Hi @belyvolk

From your explanation where you mention that the error appears only when the Russian language is enabled on the site interface, it’s highly unlikely that this is being caused by FooGallery, as I always suspected.

To find out the root cause, kindly use the Health Check plugin. Once you have it enabled, disable all of the plugins and use one of the default themes, then enable the Russian language, and finally enable the plugins one by one, and try out the themes one by one after that, all this time observing if the error will appear when one of the plugins/themes is enabled/published.

This troubleshooting strategy should help you find out what exactly is causing this.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis

    Hi @elviiso,
I tried all the options using the Health Check plugin. The error appears only when the FooGallery plugin is enabled. All plugins disabled, default theme, only FooGallery enabled – error appears.
I can’t even imagine what else it could be.

In order to exclude the influence of other factors, I installed a clean WordPress. I only installed one FooGallery plugin. There is nothing more. Empty wordpress and one plugin. In Russian, the same error appears. In English, this error disappears. I conclude that the problem is still somewhere in the plugin. Please look again.

    Hi @belyvolk

Thanks for getting back to us.

So, just to ensure we’re on the same page, what you observed is that when you had a clean WordPress install and installed and activated FooGallery, the error appeared only when you changed the WordPress language from English to Russian? Thanks for this confirmation.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.

    (@belyvolk)

Yes that’s right. This error appeared when there was a Russian language on a clean installation of WordPress and installed and activated FooGallery

    Hi @belyvolk

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry for the delay on this.

I will be running some tests on this from my end as I investigate this and will get back to you in the next few hours with a response. Thanks in advance for your patience as we continue to look into this.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.

    Hi @belyvolk

I went ahead and created clean WordPress installs using Local and then followed the steps you mentioned to try to recreate the error:

    • Install and activate FooGallery in the clean WP installation
    • Change language to Russian
    • However, after multiple tries on different clean WP installs, I was unable to replicate the issue. FooGallery worked perfectly even after the site language was changed to Russian. Here’s a brief screens recording to illustrate this: https://www.loom.com/share/5bc7cd77fc74449ca7bac12ae8533c7c

Kindly confirm to me if the issue still persists on your end after these past few days. Thanks.

      Kind regards,
      Elvis.
