This error is occurring in nearly 600 of our articles: Error in required structured data element.

I believe it has to do with the Avatar Images for the author of the posts. We have those turned off in the WordPress setting, which is what is causing the issue.

We have the latest version of Yoast installed. Is there a way to fix this without turning on avatars?

  • @smcorridorews I don’t see any structured data errors or warnings in the AMP version of the URL you provided.

I can see structured data warnings in your non AMP, related to the event type. You’ll need to correct those or request support with your theme or plugin.

Apparently, I was looking at the wrong. I found a different page in the Google console that broke down the pages/posts with errors. Now I’m just not sure how to fix them. Hmmmm…

I guess I will have to go through our theme support and ask them for help. We’re using Jannah, which is supposed to be compatible with the AMP plugin we’re using, so I don’t know what’s going on. I’m out of my depth here on this one.

    Thanks, James!

@smcorridorews No problem at all. It may be a plugin causing the warnings, in particular any events type plugin you have active.
