Error in “RSS feed for this thread”

I want to know one thing, kindly someone guide me.
Here in wordpress forums, below every topic, there is an Rss feed option with title.. “RSS feed for this thread”
When i click on this link.. it does not open in my browser..i get the message, page can not be displayed etc..
the hyperlink for this is .. “feed:https://www.ads-software.com/support/rss/topic/77779” this is just an example, it is same with everytopic..
But if i remove the feed: then it works like
https://www.ads-software.com/support/rss/topic/77779
Is it a problem or something is wrong with my browser only?
If it is a problem, is there any solution for it?

I’m getting the same problem with a WordPress site I’m working on at the moment. None of my browsers are able to display the link as they don’t recognise the ‘feed:’ protocol. But the feed itself is detected and read okay by Sage (Firefox RSS reader plug-in).

I’ve searched the support pages and forums with no luck – could someone suggest what the problem is please?
