    Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with the Yoast SEO plugin in the WordPress post editor. In the “Edit” view of all posts, the Yoast SEO section displays the following error:

    “URL is not a constructor”

This error seems to appear consistently across all posts, and I’m unable to proceed with optimizations or edits in the Yoast section.

Here are some details about my setup:

    • Yoast SEO Version: 23.8
    • WordPress Version: 6.5.5
    • PHP Version: 7.4

I’ve tried clearing all caches (browser, site, and server-side) as well as disabling any caching plugins, but the issue persists.

Has anyone encountered this issue before or have any suggestions for a fix?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi @supra21

Kindly update WordPress to 6.6. Also make sure your site meets the plugin requirements. Then check if the issue exists.

If the issue exists, can you kindly follow the steps below to check the conflict:

    1. Install and activate Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin
    2. Install a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two, however, do not activate it.
    3. Enable troubleshooting mode from WordPress dashboard > Tools > Site health > Troubleshooting.
    4. Once you are in troubleshooting mode, activate Yoast SEO only. Then check if the issue exists.

Before you update WordPress or check conflict:

We recommend creating regular backups of your site and database for your site’s health and safety. This is especially important before installing, updating, or removing plugins. It provides you with a safety net in case something were to go wrong. Learn more about the benefits of regular backups.

I have followed the steps above and its definitely caused by Yoast

    Thanks
