    Hi,

IF we enable the plugin (with the same settings we use for years now), it lock all of us (ERROR: Invalid login credentials), howewer the login credentials are okay, and cookies allowed in the browser too.

We use recaptcha v2 in the login field, tried to renew it, but didnt help. Contact Form 7 use this v2 recaptcha too (with “ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7” plugin), we deactivated theese plugins, but didnt help neither.

Tried to delete and reinstall your plugin, but didn’t help neither.

After lock in the only solution that we delete your plugin from FTP, after that we login, and copy back the files and settings.

Can you please solve this problem?

    Thank you!

Do you have Login Lockdown features enabled? If you do, what are your current settings? Have you also whitelisted your IP address?
If login lockdown is enabled, can you try deactivating it to see if the issue persists?

Yes, i have with the settings below:

    • Enable Login Lockdown Feature: Check this if you want to enable the login lockdown feature and apply the settings below
    • Max login attempts: 3 (usually, but now is 10 for testing)
    • Login Retry Time Period (min): 10
    • Time Length of Lockout (min): 1440
    • Display Generic Error Message: Check this if you want to show a generic error message when a login attempt fails
    • Notify By Email

No, i didnt try to whitelist, because i have new IP adress every day (because my internet provider)

Yes, i tried to disable the login lockdown feature, but did not help, the problem will be the same.

I’ll export you our settings, but i delete the recaptcha and email infos from it (but we use the same settings in at least a dozen sites without problem):

Have you installed any additional themes or plugins on your site, can you think of anything that has changed about your site recently?

Can you try deactivating your other plugins (except for All In One).
If the issues persists, can you try reactivating them one by one until you find the plugin that is creating the conflict?

Could you also try temporarily switching to a one of the default 2020 themes and seeing if this makes any difference?

    Thread Starter datviking

    (@datviking)

We see this problem since our last WP Security update.

The only change in the site for a while is the plugin updates. We didn’t updated the theme for a while.

I did what you asked from me: deactivated all of the plugins, but the problem is still there. Proof for the deactivation, i am not just write that i did: https://ibb.co/9p1sk71 (the link will be unavailable after 1 day)

And i also switched temporarily the theme to “Tewnty Twenty”, and tried “Twenty Twenty One” also, but did not help neither.

    What is the next step?

Thanks for doing this and for your continued patience?

Under Brute Force>>Login Whitelist is this disabled?

    Thread Starter datviking

    (@datviking)

No problem, thank you for your help.

Yes, it is disabled, i sent you earlier our settings, and said earlier that the whitelist can’t help, because in our contry most of the internet providers give us new IP adress every day plus every router restart.

So if i whitelist my IP today, tomorrow still ban me from the site.

Let me explain again: we use this plugin at least a dozen sites, with the same settings, we dont need whitelists enabled, etc, and it works fine in every other sites. The problem is only here after our last all in one update.

    Hi,

    I have been going through the change logs since this issue first appeared after an update, there is one update that may be relevant, this is;

“Allow the “redirect_to” parameter to be used on renamed login page when logged in”

From the settings that you previously posted, it looks like you have the rename login page feature activated, does the issue persist if you deactivate the rename login page feature?

    (@datviking)

I can’t tell you, because the problem is magically solved without a plugin update, or anything else.
