    Here are few error and notice logs listed in my debug.log:

    1) PHP Notice: Undefined index: nextgen-gallery in /home/user/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_admin/class.page_manager.php on line 144

    2) Sorry, but recursing filters on “the_content” breaks NextGEN Gallery. Please see https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/17817
    – I saw that ticket, but I don’t want to change my wp-include/plugin.php. That is not how it should be done. There are 2 ways for this:
    a. functions.php so that changes don’t delete after upgrade
    b. you could make fix in your plugin

    @zeninho – We’re not seeing the first error notice in our test installs so I cannot say what might be causing this on your site, perhaps some sort of conflict as you are also noting your second item.

    As to the second item, this is a WordPress core bug and one that is approaching the possibility of being corrected. We do not recommend anywhere, at any time, to modify any core WordPress file … ever!

    We are re-visiting this issue all the same as even though the trac ticket is 4 years old it still has not been formally addressed which leaves plugin authors forced to sort this out if possible until a complete solution is implemented in core.

    Thank you for your fast answer.

    1. probably compatibility issue with other plugins then. Since this is only notice, not actual error, should I be concern in any way?

    2. any hope for future upgrades then?

    @zeninho – Most notices will not affect anything too badly although simply turning off DEBUG may sort that out (although we still review and address the notices as we can consistently recreate them).

    As to a future update sorting out the issue of recursive hook calls, we’re hoping to find a 100% working solution for NextGEN Gallery and our developers are keeping an eye on the core trac ticket as well.
