    Hello Hieke,

I tested your form. You can find more details about this error at “Oops something went wrong“.

Can you first please make sure that you are using the latest version of our plugin and if all the mandatory fields are added to the form?

    Hi Harish,

Thanks for your quick reply. I have the latest versions installed and added the correct fields. The forms used to work, but suddenly stopped working. The same issue is occurring on my own website.

Quite annoying, since it generates list growth on daily basis.

O, wait. My assistant added extra field to MY list, but I don’t want those to appear as a field in MC4WP. I want to use those fields internally.

I used to use other mailing software, but had her import all data into MailChimp. She added field for region and ‘what kind of customer’. Those were fields I used internally, like ‘boughtproduct A’ or ‘bought product B’.

Is it possible to use those fields internally and have them NOT displayed in MC4WP? I only want them to fill in first name, last name and e-mail address.

Okay, I discovered that your initial suggestion was correct.

    – In my own MC-account I unchecked the boxes with the extra fields that were added last week. My form works fine too.

    – My client changed the names of the FNAME and LNAME field. We changed it back. And her form works now. BUT…

    1. On the page ‘Gratis’ a message appears after sending the form (that is correctly hidden after submission.
    2. In the sidebar this message does NOT appear. The form disappears (as told to do in the settings) but when no message appears about what’s next, people think something goes wrong.

How come this doesn’t work in the sidebar?

    Hello Hieke,

I tested both the forms (on Gratis Page & the sidebar) and after form submission the form was hidden and I only saw this message:

“Heb je wel eens moeite om je boodschap zó over te brengen, dat hij blijft hangen? En wil je dat je publiek ademloos aan je lippen hangt én lang na afloop kan vertellen wat je zei?

Gebruik dan mijn gratis tips 5 manieren om je boodschap beter over te brengen.

Laat je naam en e-mailadres achter, dan kun je ze daarna meteen downloaden.
Dank voor je aanvraag. Hij is succesvol verstuurd. Je krijgt een bevestigingsmail.”

Can you please share more details/screenshot of what exact difference you are noticing?

Okay, that’s exactly what is supposed to be shown.

I just tried again and it works now. There was another problem with the form that I solved yesterday; maybe that had to do with this too. Please mark this ticket as resolved ??

    And thanks for helping.
