    When I save settings of the yoast I’ve got an error messages without any particular messages related with some variable or something like this.
    Error text: There was a critical error on your website. Please check your website administrator email address for further instructions.

    It’s show up in gray background without any admin interface element. How to fix it ?

  • I got the same problem please fix asap. I get this problem with YOAST SEO alot. I just changed the plugin name in FTP now my site is live again. Fix it please! it is really annoying me

    This is one of the errors I get at PHP error log: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 805306368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 90577043464 bytes) in public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/functions.php on line 395

    Hey Maybellyne, What is that kinda question? I use YOAST seo for couple months now of course my website meets the plugin requirements. Everything is updated, only yoast wasn’t I did update the plugin and then the whole site went down. This is 2/3rd time it happened to me in 2months.

    Did you just update Yoast? I did on one site and it crashed the whole site with a 503. Renaming the plugin directory has brought the site online again. Issues with update? Please advise asap?

    @ib1222 The question is to ascertain if your server meets the plugin requirements. The functions.php file has just 40 lines of code. See https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/blob/trunk/src/functions.php. It’s strange that you are getting an error message on line 395. Deleting the plugin folder and reinstalling afresh should resolve the issue.

    @saliw I am sorry the latest update crashed your site and glad you were able to restore it. Can you also try reinstalling the plugin?
