Error message after fetching a feed

    hello together,
    I just installed this great plugin. but if I start fetching the feed(s) I get the following error

    “There was a problem with fetching feeds. This is likely due to a settings problem or invalid feeds.”

    the Feeds are ok. I tested! do U have any idea?

    p.s.: in my other projects the plugin running without any problems…

    if the plugin works fine on one server but not another, then the problem is with your server.

    ok and thanks for the answer… but any ideas which special settings I have to change?

    the first place I would look is in the servers php.ini file to see if fopen is set to ON.

    thanks for help. my admin told me that fopen was already ON. some other helpful ideas? would be great…!!!

    ok…what is an example of a feed that you are being told is invalid and I’ll see if I can reproduce the problem.

    for example I try to implement this feed: https://www.alles-fuer-hunde.info/feed/ OR this one here

    in both cases I get after pressing the “fetch”-button the following message: “There was a problem with fetching feeds. This is likely due to a settings problem or invalid feeds.”

    where is the mistake? maybe I did smth wrong in the special settings? bit WHAT???

    I have no problem, error, or whatever when importing that feed into my generic public site (running on hostgator)…

    what this tells me is that either you server or your settings are not working…the feed seems fine since my server can read it with no problems.
