Error message after payment

After the payment is made, the client is sent to a page (within the domaine) with the message: “Nothing Found Oops! that page can’t be found. It seems that nothing was found at this location. Maybe try one of the links below or a search?”

Below the message is a number with 16 digits – the number is different each time. The payment goes through, that’s not the problem. But it seems that the system tries to send the client to a page, that does not exists.  For payments I use the plugin “Viva Wallet for Woocommerce”.

From what I understand, you’re encountering an issue where your clients are directed to a non-existent page after making a payment. You’ve also mentioned that each time this happens, a unique 16-digit number appears on the page. While you’ve confirmed that the payments are going through successfully, we understand that this could potentially confuse your clients.

The issue you’re experiencing seems to be related to redirection after payment completion. The WooCommerce system might be attempting to redirect your clients to a specific page that doesn’t exist or is incorrectly configured.

Here’s how you can investigate and possibly fix this issue:

1. Update your Plugin: Make sure your “Viva Wallet for WooCommerce” plugin is up-to-date. If it’s not, please update it to the newest version.
2. Verify your WooCommerce settings: Make sure your WooCommerce checkout settings are correctly configured. You should have an ‘Order Received‘ page where customers are redirected after payment. You can check this under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Page setup.
3. Refresh your Permalinks: Sometimes, the problem can be due to an issue with the permalinks on your site. Go to Settings > Permalinks and simply click ‘Save Changes‘ without making any changes. This will refresh your permalinks and might solve the problem.
4. Try a different payment gateway: This will help us find out if the problem is specific to the Viva Wallet plugin. You can temporarily use a different payment gateway, such as WooPayments. PayPal or Stripe, to see if the problem still exists.
5. Run a Compatibility Check: See if there’s a compatibility issue between your theme or other plugins and the “Viva Wallet for WooCommerce” plugin. You can do this by temporarily switching to a default WordPress theme (like Storefront) and disabling all other plugins to see if the problem continues. Thank you so much for getting back to me.
I’ve made the #1 and #3 updates, and for #2 there is an “Order received” page.
For #4 another payment gateway is unfortunately not possible (payment clearance purposes).
The compatibility check in #5 has not yet been done. It’s more timeconsuming, and implies changes in the sites appearance.
However I’ve checked the log – it only contains an empty test log of today – and one other from the 18.10. :

I’ve made the #1 and #3 updates, and for #2 there is an “Order received” page.

For #4 another payment gateway is unfortunately not possible (payment clearance purposes).

I understand that it is not possible to use another payment gateway. In this case, can you please try the following steps instead:

• Switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled
• Create a test order using Cash on Delivery (COD)

Please try and see if you are being redirected to the correct Order Received/Thank You page afterwards.

The compatibility check in #5 has not yet been done. It’s more timeconsuming, and implies changes in the sites appearance

You are correct that performing the full conflict test is indeed time-consuming and will impact your site’s appearance greatly.

In this case, I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

If this did not resolve the issue, please provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
