Error message after Woocommerce update to 4.7.0

    Hi, today I updated our site’s Woocommerce plugin to 4.7 from 4.6.1. Our shop/products then disappeared from our website and I found the plugin was not activited. After activating it, all sorts of error messages were then displayed to site visitors. Our website host removed the error messages, but has now changed the site back to yesterday’s back-up (back to Woocommerce 4.6.1). They said they can’t help with resolving the errors. These are some of the error messages: cart_url is deprecated since version 2.5! Use wc_get_cart_url instead. in /home/trademar/public_html/tmawptest/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4777

    Deprecated: woocommerce_get_page_id is deprecated since version 3.0! Use wc_get_page_id instead. in /home/trademar/public_html/tmawptest/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4777

    Although I created our website, I am not a coding expert, so if anyone can help me with guidance on how to resolve this, please can you explain steps in full. Thank you very much.

    Hi there,

    The deprecated message are internal warnings for developers. They will not hinder functionality.

    Also they must not display to begin with. Try turning off WP_DEBUG: https://docs.themeisle.com/article/819-how-to-turn-on-off-debugging-in-wordpress

    Hello @milliemop1,

    Please note that WooCommerce 4.7 didn’t deprecated any functions, those are deprecated long time ago and aren’t used on WooCommerce core anymore, sounds like that one or more of your extensions is outdated or using deprecated functions.

    Hi Claudio and Con, thank you very much for your help. I think it might be a problem with my Dazzling theme, which I believe hasn’t been updated since May 2017. I will stick with Woo 4.6.1 for the time being until I find out more about this. Kind regards.
