    I’ve got two issues.

The first issue is that when a user arrives as the “Checkout” page, an error message appears before they’ve ever entered any payment information.

If I ignore the error message and try to checkout with credit card, it works.

If I click on the PayPal radio button, then the Checkout button disappears completely!

    No clue what to do.

    Hey there!

What’s the error message? Can you paste it here? The more info you can share about the issue (exactly what you are seeing) will help any support person help you faster ??

Also, including your site URL will help us, because we should be able to see what you are seeing.

You’ll see that it immediately says “Oops, something went wrong. Please try a different payment method.”

And then if I scroll down and choose “PayPal” as the payment method, the “Place Order” button disappears. If I disable PayPal entirely, then this error goes away.

So it appears something is messed up with the PayPal part of this.

Same thing is happening on my other site! Yikes!

As a short-term workaround, I can take the backuptactical.com site and disable PayPal Powered by Braintree and re-enabled the standard PayPal checkout. This really isn’t ideal though, and the Jim-Flannery site is still in need of a fix for this bug.

@flantascience does it give an error code?

I’ve tested the backuptactical.com account and there PayPal is working. On the Jim Flannery, I’m struggling to find a product that doesn’t take me to Amazon. Do you have a link to a product?

For the Jim Flannery, here is a link: https://jim-flannery.com/product/flim-jannery-flim-trilogy/

For Backup Tactical – what I did is disable the PayPal for the PPpbBT plugin and then enabled the standard PayPal as a workaround. This works for this site, but for a variety of issues I can’t do it on other sites.

We’ll need to take a look in your site to lend a hand with this.

I have exactly the same issue as of today on a new site build.
Is there a solution to this problem?
I have a brand new Braintree account and all is working fine with credit cards. But with PayPal Braintree activated in plugin I get that same error message as the payment page loads. And no PayPal “pay” button visible, only “pay” button when credit card selected. https://eurobrands.co.nz/product/test-product-2

    Hi @pulpink and @flantascience,

I had the same problem. The issue is that the Braintree JS library included with the plugin is hopelessly out of date.

Until WooCommerce fixes this, you can just need to edit one of the plugin files to fix, and it works perfectly.
