• Recently upgraded All-In-One SEO for a website and now the following error messages are being displayed at the top of all the pages on the website and the dashboard:

parameter 1 to be resource, null given in /home/public/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-ftpext.php on line 420

Warning: ftp_pwd() expects parameter 1 to be resource, null given in /home/public/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-ftpext.php on line 230

I have checked for plug-in and theme conflicts. Searched various forums on this error message. Sounds like something FTP related. I notice that All-In-One, compared to other plugins, shows a “Manage auto-updates” option in the plug-ins overview index page. I’ve gone into the plug-in settings and deactivated automatic updates, because the hosting provider prohibits auto updates.

    Otherwise, any clues?
