Error Message: "Checkout is not available whilst your cart is empty."

  • Dear community,

    the following problem occurs on a recently installed Woocommerce shop:

    Items can be placed in the cart
    Going to checkout works fine
    Then, after placing the order, the error message “Checkout is not available whilst your cart is empty.” appears.
    I have already deactivated all unnecessary plugins.
    This happens with all payment options.

    How could this problem be solved?

    Any help would be very much appreciated!

  • I am experiencing this same message, but in my case it’s appearing on the product page. I empty the cart and then immediately go to the product page and it appears there. It just started happening with no changes to my site.

    So funny, I was searching to find a fix to what I thought was a typo to “Checkout is not available whilst your cart is empty.” message prompt. I found out the word “whilst” is correct but isn’t it an olde ole so old way to say while? I never read whilst before anywhere in my french life, maybe just me…
