    Hi Texanweb,

    How are you?

    Sorry for delay with reply.

Are you getting this error from the front end uploader or when you upload a file via Media Library uploader?
Do you have a multisite or a single site WP installation? If it’s a multisite, please make sure mov files are allowed for uploading under the Network Settings.

If it’s a single site, please double-check that the mov extension is allowed under WP Video Posts settings for the front end uploader.

Another reason for the above error could be that the uploads directory has wrong permissions. Are you able to upload any other files through the media uploader?

If none of the above helps, could you please check if you are experiencing the same issue with a default theme and all the plugins disabled but WP Video Posts? This would help me to narrow the possible issues down.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards,
    Alex

    Q) Are you getting this error from the front end uploader or when you upload a file via Media Library uploader?
    A) From the Media Library uploader. I am not even using the front end uploader

    Q) Do you have a multisite or a single site WP installation? If it’s a multisite, please make sure mov files are allowed for uploading under the Network Settings.
    A) No, its a single site

    Q) If it’s a single site, please double-check that the mov extension is allowed under WP Video Posts settings for the front end uploader.
    A) I check marked the mov extension, error still happening.

    Q) Another reason for the above error could be that the uploads directory has wrong permissions. Are you able to upload any other files through the media uploader?
    A) I can upload files through the default WordPress Media Library, but not through the plugin’s upload.

    Q) If none of the above helps, could you please check if you are experiencing the same issue with a default theme and all the plugins disabled but WP Video Posts?
    A) Disable all plugins except “WP Video Posts” on my own theme, still wasn’t working. I changed themes to the default wordpress theme. No luck… still was getting the same error message on the default theme.

    Thank you for the feedback.

Looks like this problem appeared with 4.0.1 version of WP. I’ll have to investigate what changed in Media Uploader process.

I’ll post an update as soon as I figure it out.

    Alex

Actually, upon further investigation, I don’t get this error with 4.0.1 and WP Video Posts 3.3 version.

When I got it I had a modified version of my plugin installed and some errors were being dispatched.

Texanweb, do you see any records in the error log when you upload through the media uploader during a video post creation?

    Could you please check?

Also, are you testing as an administrator or with a different user role?

    Regards,
    Alex

Could you please send me an email to alex @ alexiz.com with your site’s url, admin credentials and the server’s ftp, if possible, so I could debug the issue?

You said you didn’t see any error logs. Did you mean there was no errors in the error log for your test domain or you don’t have access to the log files?

    Best regards,
    Alex

Just sent you the login info.

I have my own dedicated server for my clients. So, I have access to log files. I just don’t see any WordPress error logs files that normally show up.
