• Hello. I followed some guidelines on how to insert adsense in a blog post and it didn’t work so I then deleted the bit of code that I had inserted into functions.php. There is now an error in the coding which reads Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home4/toponfb8/public_html/wp-content/themes/familytree udated2/functions.php on line 8

    I can’t do anything on my blog now as everytime I click on something, this same message comes up. I now can’t click on anything without getting this message, and that includes the functions.php link. How can I correct the coding in functions.php if I can’ access it? I even get this error message when I try to login. Please help!! The first lines of the functions.php code on my site are (I am using the Studiopress Family tree template);

    [Code moderated as per the Forum Rules. Please use the pastebin]

    Many thanks.

  • you would need to use a fresh copy of te theme and upload the functions.php from it to
    wp-content->themes->your theme

    using ftp or a file manager if your host offers one
