    I was getting through this setup process but hit a wall. Any help would be great! Here’s the error message. I entered in the correct database information, but it appears there is an error in one of the documents…

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘/’ in /homepages/36/d148591617/htdocs/wordpress/wp-includes/query.php on line 370

    sincerely,
    jeff

  • Hi,

    Check with these options:

    -> reinstall wp-includes directory with all the files and folders.
    -> Upgrade your wordpress to the latest version

    Thanks,

    I came across another problem;

    Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argumented is expected to be a valid callback, ‘_show_post_preview’ was given in /homepages/36/d148591617/htdocs/wordpress/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 339

    any help here? the first problem sort of resolved itself when I reloaded the document…

    the above mentioned error is linked to errors coming up in …/wp-includes/pluggable.php and in …/wordpress/wp-login.php

    any help would be much appreciated…

    jeff

    Sounds like you have an incomplete install. Did you follow Shane G.’s advice?
