Error message on activation of BFT Autoresponder

Hi, with the activation of the BFT Autoresponder plugin I got the following error message from wpMandrill: ‘Mandrill: wp_mail has been declared by another process or plugin, so you won’t be able to use Mandrill until the problem is solved.’ After that I contacted the author of BFT Autoresponder (you can follow the conversation here). He said that this message makes no sense. Can I just ignore it?
