Error Message on fresh install, Help please

I am getting the “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems..” error on the add new plugin screen on a fresh install of wordpress. Any idea what could be causing this? It is a fresh database setup and brand new install of wordpress.. help is sincerely appreciated here, I have no idea what could be going wrong..
