error message on login

I did a very silly thing and tried to install a new theme on my website – the theme didn’t install ( something about CSS style sheet? ) when i tried to deactivate all my plugins, the whole site went screwy, i had just deactivated a free ssl plugin and after that i couldn’t get back onto the admin page.

This is what i get – yet the site holding page i put up before i did the install is still there, despite me deleting WP via FTP and uploading a new one.

I have searched and searched and tried most things and nothing will work.
HELP ANYONE???
