Error message on subscription form

  • When visitors try to subscribe with the subscription form, they get the message “There was an error when sending a confirmation email for your subscription. Please contact the website owner.”

    We deliver mails with the SMTP-Method, “Send a test mail” was sucessfull.
    We already tried to change to another SMTP-Server: still testmails work but the problem remains.

    Are you able to see logs for your sending method to determine what might be going on?

    There seem to be no log-entries on the receiving SMTP-Server. Ist it possible to activate logging on our web server?

    I recommend enabling logging in MailPoet > Settings > Advanced tab > Loggins > set it to Everything and then replicate the issue again.

    Let us know if you see any entries in the log!

    I already enabled logging, but the failed subscription-try doesn’t cause a new log-entry.

    There are only older log-entries:

    To expand the truncated log, use cmd + click on the log’s message.
