Error message says plugin not tested with latest version

I just updated my plugin and even though my updates show up on the websites, I still see the following error message on the WordPress site

This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

I did test it in the current version, and I most definitely updated the readme.txt file “Tested up to” entry.

Why is this happening?
