• When I click on backup, I receive the next error message:

The plugin encountered an error during the restore process, the following error message was returned:
Error Message : The provided URL () is either not valid or empty

What I don’t understand is that I didn’t click on the restore from url button, but above error would suggest that I did. The only thing I can think of, that could be a problem for this plugin to work, is my Better wp security settings. Although I didn’t put the settings on the strongest restrictions.

    No, its enabled.

perhaps there was an error downloading the plugin’s script file, does the button change when you select the other radio buttons?
anyhow, the new update solves this issue, could you give it a try?

Yes it changes, and I have the same problem after the update. Is it a problem that the better wp security plugin changed the standard table prefix of my database?

I’m having the same problem. I have the latest version of the plugin, installed just a few minutes ago.

    that shouldn’t be a problem,at least,not during a backup.
could you open the page in chrome and see whether there are any javascript errors in the developer console (you can bring it up by pressing F12)

@catnip216 do you have the better wp security plugin installed as well?

Nope, no errors in the console

And no, I don’t have that plugin. I have a few different clone/backup plugins installed, but not activated. The only plugin that’s activated aside from this one is Akismet.

If I chose the Alternate zip method in Advanced Settings, everything works as expected.

My mistake, ignore that last post. I accidentally had the local dev site open when I tried that, and it worked there.

I’m guessing that you have 2.1.4 installed, what happens when javascript is disabled? does it still try to perform a restore?

Yes, it does the exact same thing.

(Thanks very much for the responsiveness, btw)

I see, well, there goes that theory.. who’s the host? do you have any other WP installs on that same account? if so,is it the same on those sites?

It’s a cloud site on Rackspace, and we have several other sites set up the same way. I just tested the plugin on another cloud site, and got the same results. It does work on localhost, though.
