Error Message: W3 Total Cache Error: Files and directories could not be automati

  • I got this message after attempting to activate W3 Total Cache. I have no idea what it means or how to fix it. Please help.

    “W3 Total Cache Error: Files and directories could not be automatically created to complete the installation.
    Please execute commands manually
    or use FTP form to allow W3 Total Cache make it automatically.”

  • It probably means that it couldn’t write to your server in order to create the cache folder, or write to the wpconfig/htaccess you will need to do that manually.
