I just installed file away and got the following error message at the top of the page when I clicked on “configuration” for the plugin. The configuation form does appear on the rest of the page below the error message.

I am running WordPress on a Windows server.

Warning: copy(D:\——-\————-\html\board/wp-content/themes/twentytwelve/file-away-iframe-template.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in D:\Hosting\4559346\html\board\wp-content\plugins\file-away\lib\cls\class.fileaway_admin.php on line 81

This same error message also appears on pages in the website that have functions to list the uploaded/downloadable files from the website. When I deactivated the plugin, the error message went away.

I would like to try out the plugin, but I can’t as long as I get that error.

Manually copy the template File from the templates directory in the File Away plugin directory to your theme directory. Should clear it up.

The issue is likely to do with you being on a Windows server, and permissions or something.

Thank you. Manually copying the file removed the error.

Did you manually copy the file to your theme directory?

yes, but didn’t work for me. Switched over to another plugin. Look back later…

It won’t try to copy the file if it’s already in the correct location. You sure you put it in the correct location?
