error message when single post found

    When only a single post is found, that post is shown – but also the error message “Sorry, but nothing matched your search terms. …”

    I wonder if a number of items found is generated internally but decremented so that a single found item looks like zero items?

    On the linked page search for example “essay” or “Hanscom”.

    Hi @thor87 – when I check a search like https://abbtbio.com/wpAN2st3/?s=essay I see the single post – but not the message about nothing matching search terms…

    Is that a problem you’re still seeing happening?

    I’m not seeing it now! The only change I know I made was upgrading Jetpack. But I also notice that I’m now running WordPress 6.4, and I think the problem which was seen just days ago (when I wrote the post) might have been with WordPress 6.3.x.
