When I attempt to save user profile changes I get the following:

Catchable fatal error: Object of class __PHP_Incomplete_Class could not be converted to string in /home/wediger/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1463

    site: https://www.successfulenglish.com

    What do I do?

    Thanks.

  • What plugins are you using – the error is in a call to add_magic_quotes that a plugin may be making.

Current active plugins are Akismet, Fast/Secure Contact Form, WP Popular Posts, and WP-DBManager.

What that looks like is a remnant from Magic Members, a membership plugin that I had tested and deleted prior to upgrading to 3.0. Most of the membership plugins use that screen for changing member information details. I’ve not used anything else that I’d expect to see “magic’ from.

What was the resolution of this? I am having the same problem.

I have seen problems like this before where a plugin has been uninstalled improperly so the user accounts have some stuff attached to them that cause the problem. Check the database.
