Error message when uploading images

When I attempt to upload image files to the WP media library for insert into a post or page, I get this error.
“An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”
Interestingly, if I reload the page and then look in the media library the image is there.
The problem is only happening on this site: https://www.guruhabits.com/ All my other sites, which are setup exactly the same, are fine.
When I deactivate the WP Smush.it plugin, I no longer get the error message.
Does anyone have a fix for this?
