• My web host recently moved their data to new servers, and I began getting this error message:

Your backup folder MIGHT be visible to the public

To correct this issue, move the .htaccess file from wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager to

As you can see, it doesn’t give me any destination folder to move the .htaccess file. I’ve looked at other threads related to this subject, but all of the other users seem to have been given a destination folder…

I tried moving my htaccess.txt to root/public_html/wp-content/backup-db, but it didn’t change a thing. I should add that I wasn’t able to rename the file from htaccess to .htaccess using my web host’s ftp file manager.

Could it be that by moving the files to a new server, my hosting provider changed the permissions on certain directories?

Anyway, if any of you techies have an answer, I’d be glad to hear it ??
