• My readers report a couple of things I can’t fix. Some get this message when they tries to post:

I’m sorry, you have visited this page too many times. Please come back in an hour.

I can’t see a setting that regulates posting frequency and this is hurting the conversation.

Others have comments REJECTED for having “too many URL’s” even when the comment only has ONE. My setting say to MODERATE comments with 2 or more, but even ONE link means the comment doesn’t post at all.

    Help?

try a few basic troubleshooting steps:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try resetting the plugins foldervia FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thanks for your response.

I’ve done all the things you mentioned and none of them worked. I’ve seen this reported elsewhere and, so far, no solution. (I don’t have any caching plugins, btw.)

There must be something IN WordPress that’s triggering it. Anyone know what, where it is?
