    Hi

I can confirm that you are not the only one having this problem after updating.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘list’ (T_LIST), expecting identifier (T_STRING) in /volume1/web/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/astra-sites/inc/classes/class-astra-sites-wp-cli.php on line 63

    Looking forward for a fix.

    Regards

My site is completely down because of this error. I just blindly did the Astra update, never failed before but there was some message about php compatibility but I didn’t copy it so the update failed there was no way to back out. Then the site just stopped working with the following error being displayed on any page of the site. “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘list’ (T_LIST), expecting identifier (T_STRING) in?/home4/jwriley/silverlakeinstitute.org/wp-content/plugins/astra-sites/inc/classes/class-astra-sites-wp-cli.php?on line?63 “

Any recommendations would be great. Thanks!

If I can’t update PHP what should I do?

    What a scary update!
Go to your cpanel choose php selector then update to 7.1 and my site is back.

I have hostgator, I went to the cPanel category “Software” and used the php selector. I opened that up and selected 7.1 then my site began to work again. Thanks expert67!

You may also try ” MultiPHP Manager” and selecting the php version

You may also try ” MultiPHP Manager” and selecting the php version. Afterwhich, return to the Astra plugin pause and resume. It worked for me.
