which version of WordPress are you using?
we just tested this again and are not getting this error. Maybe delete the plugin and re-install from the wordpress repo?

    Also, clear your cache.

Let us know if you continue to get this error.

WordPress 4.2.2. I remove the plugin and reinstall it, but i have the same error

I’m having the same issue. I rolled back to the 2.3.2 for now.

Also wordpress 4.2.2 for me. Cleared cache and reinstalled the plugin didn’t help.

    Discovered the issue…
what version of PHP is your sever running?
Wordpress’ minimum requirements is PHP 5.4 or greater
    https://www.ads-software.com/about/requirements/

Anonymous function support wasn’t available until php 5.3, so if you are running something oder than than, it’s time to upgrade.

In the mean time, roll back to 2.3.2 for now, and we’ll push out an update to deal with old systems like yours.

    Thanks.

Same problem… how can I fix this when I can’t even log in to wordpress??

    https://www.military-missions.org is site

    Nevermind… I worked it out

Rename /…/wp-content/plugins/jquery-t-countdown-widget to /…/wp-content/plugins/jquery-t-countdown-widget-disabled and it’ll return access to you (and disable T-)

    I’m getting the same/similar error,

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /wp-content/plugins/jquery-t-countdown-widget/countdown-timer.php on line 682

but PHP 5.4.24 is running on the server.

(and WP 4.2.4 plus version 2.3.4 of this plugin)

    Any thoughts?

can you send a link to your page? Also, are SURE about your php version. You have checked it with phpinfo(); and so?

Getting the same issue – “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in E:\Domains\i\its-training-uk.com-1081589191\user\htdocs\wp-content\plugins\jquery-t-countdown-widget\countdown-timer.php on line 682”

This has crashed the entire site – I cannot access it at all – every page shows the same error. The same applies to the dashboard, so I cannot rollback the installation.

    Help!!

    Site is https://www.its-training-uk.com

Have removed the plug-in via ftp. If/when it’s fixed, I may reinstall.

The error is caused by using an old version of PHP.
If you are seeing this error, and you can not update your PHP, then simply roll-back to version 2.3.2.

Be advised, WordPress 4.3 is going to be released in the next days. All PHP4 constructors will be dropped in support of the upcoming PHP7. What version of PHP are you currently running on your server?

    WordPress Requirements

PHP version 5.2.4 or greater (recommended: PHP 5.4 or greater)
