Error on active unread post

    Hello,

    Thanks for this plugin and sorry for my English ??

    I’ve an error when activate Unread Post option : Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /…/wp-content/plugins/bbp-style-pack/includes/functions_unread.php on line 17.
    This error is blocking my entire website and I am forced to restore “bsp_style_settings_unread” in the option tablebefore this activation.

    can you tell me what php version you are using. This is shown in

    dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>Plugin Information

    can I have

    WP version
    Theme
    PHP version
    bbPress version

    My information :
    WP version 5.1.1
    Theme Hestia-child 2.0.1
    PHP version 5.4.45-0+deb7u14
    bbPress version 2.6.2

    I don’t have possibility to upgrade php version for this moment

    Your PHP version is quite old – all features of WordPress and bbPress might not work as expected.

    sorry, 5.4 stopped being supported 4 years ago, and this function relies on you using a later version.
