Error on checkout

  • Good day,
    I have been having this issue and i really dont know how to deal with it.
    Each time a customer try to check out, he or she encounters this error “JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data”

    The item eventually clears and the order made but i want to stop this from happening.
    Please any idea will be greatly apprecaited.

  • @afrowall you didn’t post your system report, my guess is something about your server and WooCommerce aren’t getting along.

    As usual, try deactivating plugins / switching to default WordPress theme and seeing if the error still happens. All sorts of errors can come from plugin conflicts and/or theme issues. And sometimes the actual problem is the server you are using (I’ve seen servers which claim to support WordPress end up having serious issues with WooCommerce which were only resolved by moving the site to new hosting).
