• This page contains the following errors:

error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document

    Using Twenty Eleven theme.
Looked at other threads which generally blame plugind, so I deactivated all the plugins and the problem remains.

Based on the other threads, I looked at feed-rss2.php feed-rss.php and feed.php they all seemed to have a blank line at the end of the file, which I removed just to see if it helped, and it did not.

    I’m stuck at this point.

    follow up info:

    ?https://mydomain.com/blog/feed/ works ok

    ?https://mydomain.com/blog/postname/feed/ gives the error

    a link to that url appears before the </head> tag <link rel=”alternate” type=”application/rss+xml” title=”title Comments Feed” href=”?https://www.”mydomain”.com/blog/”title”/feed/” />

Google is picking this up as a crawl error
