  • Hi @alolifer,

Thanks for reaching out and creating this new thread. Happy to help you with this!

Just a few hours ago, we released a new version of our plugin – version 2.0.1 – in conjunction with some updates from the Facebook side as well.

Would you please make sure your plugin is up-to-date and give it another try? If it still doesn’t work, no worries! We can try a few other things as well.

    Thanks,
    Marcus

This doesn’t work. I’ve already tried it. My Business Extension is also screwed up

    Hi @wadeharman,

Thank you for letting me know. I’m sorry to hear that it is still not working as expected.

To start with a bit of a clean slate, would you please use the “Uninstall” link on the WooCommerce > Facebook settings page and then try to re-connect to your Facebook account? I understand that this is not ideal. Looking forward to seeing if this works for you.

    Thanks,
    Marcus

    Hi @marcusskyverge,
    Hello,

is it possible that the PlugIn has problems with version 5.5 of WordPress? I get an error message when I switch to the “Messenger” tab.

“There was an error communicating with the Facebook Business Extension. Click here to manage your Messenger settings.”

if I follow the link I get the following message:

“Error on managing Facebook Business Extension
Bitte richte zuerst die Erweiterung für Facebook Business ein, bevor du die Einstellungen verwaltest.”

The “Manage Connection” button also generates this error message.

@tastybbqde I think the FB for Woo got really screwed up when they did the Chat plugin. I have no idea what’s going on.

    Hi @tastybbqde,

Thanks for reaching out about the plugin. Since you’re not the person who originally started this topic then, per the forum guidelines, would you please start your own topic? We’ll be more than happy to help there ??

    Thanks,
    Marcus

I’ll just wait for the next update. I don’t want to open the 100th thread on the same topic, then nobody will find anything

    Hi @tastybbqde,

Thank you for letting us know. I understand your concern here.

These connection and messenger errors exist for a few different reasons and each person’s solution may be different. In that case, a single thread would do more to confuse than resolve.

We’re working hard alongside Facebook to get these issues fixed up.

    Thanks,
    Marcus

Marcus, multiple people report same problem. And yes, I have it on 3 sites now, with this message appearing in settings. So it is not limited to website, but to plugin, and compatibility with Woo and WP. Any recognition on where you are with this problem?

    Hi @klaszewski,

Thanks for reaching out about the plugin. I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue as well. You can read more about our updates on connectivity issues here.

I see that many people have such a problem, I hope with the plugin update, everything will be solved. We’re waiting.

    Hi @alolifer,

Thank you for your reply. The “Error on managing Facebook Business Extension” notice is almost certainly a permission issue on the Facebook side of things. I might recommend logging in through Facebook and making sure your pixel, page, catalog, and Business Extension are all under the same Business Manager account.

Would you please give that a try and see if it works for you? If not, would you please reach out to Facebook directly to see if they can help get your account the correct permissions?

    Thanks,
    Marcus

Yes, we checked everything with a Facebook employee, I was told that the problem is on the plugin side

    Hi @alolifer,

Thank you for letting us know about this. I’m sorry that you are being sent back and forth between the two of us. That is frustrating.

I’m afraid the only recommendation I have at this point might be to log into Facebook and remove any additional users, pixels, and catalogs and start fresh installing the plugin.

I’m sorry I don’t have any better news here at this time. I can assure you that we are still working closely with Facebook to try to get these last remaining issues fixed up and sorted out.

    Thanks,
    Marcus

    Hey @alolifer,

It has been a while since we heard from you, so I’m going to mark this topic as resolved. If you’re still experiencing issues please take a look at our documentation for more information and create a new thread if you have further questions. We’ll be happy to help out from there! ??

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
