    Hello,
When restoring the backup, I always get the error message ‘File found but empty’. Save the backups in Google Drive, files are there and not empty.
    What is the error?

    Greetings
    Andi

    Hi Andi,

Could you please provide the restore log file using PasteBin or a similar service?
It can contain useful information which provides more insight on the issue cause.

    Best regards,

    Hi Nick,

I tried restoring again today, but the error no longer occurred today.
Instead, I always got the message ‘The session has ended’ during the restore today. What is the reason for this? I wanted to set the log file to public with Pastebin, unfortunately it did not allow this because of words that were supposedly jeopardised, so I put this log file on our server for a few days ok,

    Hi Andi,

Thank you for the additional information.

Was ‘The session has ended’ message a WordPress session ended notification perhaps?
The reason I ask is after a backup restore with a database the message normally appears.

When the database component is restored it overwrites the previous existing database.
This means a user has to login again using the credentials from the source restored site.

Did the restore itself complete successfully in as much as does the site display correctly?

    Best regards,

    Hi nrobertsudp ,

thanks for the quick reply, yes the wordpress session was simply terminated during the restore when Updraft was still restoring, but the database was already through before that. The session was then terminated at the ‘Uploads’ point.
simply ended. I had logged back into WordPress and there was already a message from Updraft:
‘Restore was interrupted, continue with restore ?’ one click on yes and it finished it.
The pages are all there and Ok only in WordPress at tools/website state
I suddenly got this error message after restoring:

Warning The optional module imagick is not installed or has been disabled.
Warning The optional module zip is not installed or has been deactivated.
Warning The optional module intl is not installed or has been deactivated.

I did not have these error messages before restoring. Is this due to the
    database ?

    Greetings
    Andi

    Hi Andi,

It seems the WordPress session timeout was coincidental during the restore then.
The messages relate to optional PHP modules which are not activated / installed.

On some hosting you can activate these in cPanel, or you can ask hosting to do it.
I’d advise you to fix this as the zip module will help make your backups run faster.

    Best regards,

    Hi Andi,

Thank you very much, we really aim to do our best.

The reason I suggest you enable the zip module is described in an article here:
    https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-are-my-backups-slow/

Basically, you may well see a PclZip warning message in your backup log files.
The backups will still run but could be significantly slower without the module.

Thanks again for the compliment, much appreciated!

    Best regards,

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

ok all clear thanks, one more question.
Is it possible with Updraft if I only change one page
to the live website without all the others?

    Hi Andi,

Thank you. Can you explain to me in more detail please?
Restoring a single specific page isn’t currently supported.

    Best regards,

    Nick
