Error on saving Pod post

    I have created related custom post types of pods – e.g. one for Churches and one for Facilities they have available to rent.

    I can update Church records, but when I try to update one particular one I get this error: –
    The Church field is required and cannot be removed by the Facilities field
    and the post does not update.

    I cannot see anything wrong with my relationships, I have cleared the pods cache but this consistently occurs.

    Any ideas?

    This error occurs when you are trying to remove a relationship that is required by the relationship itself.
    Example:

    – Church 1 and Facility 1 are bi-directional related to eachother.
    – The Facility relationship field is required
    – Facility has only one relationship: Church 1
    – If Church 1 removes it’s relationship to Facility 1 then Facility 1 has no relationships anymore. But Facilities require a relationship so the system will return an error.

    In your case it’s best to disable the requirement for the relationship field.

    Removing the Required on the church relationship did the trick.
