Error on SMTP

    I had setup SMTP several times in the past, and had followed as instructed in the blog.

    My hosting is siteground.

    But today, for some reason when I configured SMTP, I am getting below error

    The “MAIL FROM” email address [email protected] gmail.com you are using is not hosted on this server, and it seems that i am not receiving any woo commerce email e.g. new orders

    can you help advise?

    EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.7.0 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    Mailer: Other SMTP
    SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: [email protected]: Sorry 35.207.80.181. The “MAIL FROM” email address
    [email protected] / gmail.com you are using is not hosted on this
    server. Tried to use [email protected] / gmail.com as mail from
    address. Sending mails from addresses not hosted on our server is not
    allowed. Please check the “MAIL FROM” settings of your mail client and make
    sure you set the “MAIL FROM” address to an email account which is hosted on
    the server.

    Thanks for reaching out. As the error indicates the ‘From Email’ in WP Mail SMTP settings should be hosted by the SMTP server you’re using and the email account you’ve authenticated. It’s recommended to check ‘Force From Email’ so that other plugins on your site could not replace it.
