• I have noticed that a cluster of pages have an abnormal internal links incoming. I have built 5 incoming links, but the link counter in Yoast says it is 20.

Other pages have wrong outgoing links. For example the page https://www.whisky.nu/two-stacks-double-irish-cream/
It has six outgoing internal links. Yoast counter says it is 12 outgoing (and 17 incoming, that is wrong, should be like 2 incoming)

    I did the following:

    1. Install & activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations‘, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation‘, and ‘Reset Internal link counter‘ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that the specific reset was successful.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

This has made the outgoing link go down to correct 6. However it also made the incoming link colum go missing, and I cant get it back. What to do?

    Hello @fondanalys

I’m sorry about the missing internal link column. Can you please try those steps again and let us know if the issue continues?

    Hi @fondanalys

In the post overview area, can you kindly click on screen options from the top right corner and confirm if you have checked the Outgoing internal links and Received internal links checkbox?

If yes, kindly install and activate Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable the troubleshooting mode from WordPress dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Troubleshooting. Activate Yoast SEO only and then kindly re run SEO data optimization. Check if SEO data optimization is completed. If not, do you see any error appears in the console?

Please check the browser console for errors while running SEO data optimization by following the article How to find JavaScript errors with your browser’s console?

If you see any error, please provide us with screenshots that highlight the issue you are experiencing. You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.

“Can you kindly click on screen options from the top right corner and confirm if you have checked the Outgoing internal links and Received internal links checkbox?”
The checkbox for outgoing internal links is ticked. There is no checkbox for Received internal links.

    Hi @fondanalys

In my local site, if I open screen options from the post overview page, I can see both. Please check the screenshot.

The columns appear after the SEO data optimization completes. Since you are facing the columns appeared and now those are missing, I suggest resetting indexables and running SEO data optimization again. Do you see it completed or does it throw any error?

May I know what is the version of WordPress on your site? Does your site meet all the plugin requirements?
