• Since the latest update of WordPress the product pages, when the Description tab is selected, everything appears double in size, the window has scroll bars on the bottom, the images are really large and blurry, the Add to Cart button is way off to the right, out of view from the screen. When you select either the review or additional information tabs, the page goes back to normal size.

Also there is a message on the dashboard that states:

`Your theme (Materialis PRO) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:

Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.
If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.`

This problem appears on both the Pro and free versions of the theme. I’ve got the latest version. Is there a fix for this?

  • Hello,

For support for pro version please contact the author at [email protected] or using the site contact form https://extendthemes.com/materialis/#support

Thread Starter Developer for wordpress sites

    (@thepaddycaddy)

I tried getting support from that email address and in multiple email exchanges they explained to me that they’re not going to do anything to help me. They don’t provide support on individual sites. They won’t look at it, they said that if they make an update it’ll be someday in the future and they have no ETA on it. I understood it that they have to have multiple customers complain about problems before they actually try to do anything to make an update to fix the problem. They have not taken any action to look at the page and verify what I’m telling them . They essentially told me I’m stuck with the product pages not displaying correctly.

It blows my mind that you guys Provide support on the free version of the theme but not on the paid version. They essentially in so many words confirmed with me that if I want a functional website I’m going to be forced to go with another theme developer other than ExtendThemes.

Very strange business practice and customer service, but I guess it is what it is, they don’t actually provide support to you as an individual website owner. They only make updates when they feel like it, and your website be damned if it don’t work, they just aren’t concerned about it.

I sent in carefully captured and annotated screenshots to show them but they still refuse to do anything to look added or do anything to diagnose what might be the problem.

I suppose let this be a lesson to anybody who would want to upgrade to the pro
version, they’re not going to provide support even though it’s says all over the website they do. It is almost like I’m in the Twilight Zone, I tried to clarify with them, I thought maybe I got a new inexperienced agent, but they’ve told me in multiple replies are not going to do anything to look at my site and help me diagnose the problem.

Perhaps you guys can still help me though? I’m having the problem on the free version as well. Can you provide support for me to me with that? Perhaps if I can fix it on the free version I could figure out how to fix it on the paid version my own self .

If not I’ll just go ahead drop my fight to make this theme work, and move on to a total different theme developer, but I really wanted this theme to work.
